I’ve been wearing their gear on the last couple of videos and band shots. Q: I seems in your video Enclave, that you were singing cleans, but I'm not sure?Ī: It’s good to know that I have a career in miming if The Unguided would fail!Ī: My Achilles heel, when it comes to accessories, is the Italian brand POLICE. I’ll make sure to attend the Caliban, Soilwork and All That Remains, and show coming up next week in Gothenburg as well! Can’t wait :)
The Heaven Shall Burn, As I Lay Dying, Suicide Silence, and Adept gig last week was really intense-as all of you following me on twitter already know. The website is still being manufactured together with artworks for future merchandise, also a symbol for the band is being created as we speak. So you finally can hear what this madness is all about. You guys rock! I also think I can, with clean consciences, promise to have two songs mixed and ready to be unleashed upon you in January from The Unguided.
I’m sure you have a lot of questions, questions that the not-so-secret entity (anymore) is willing to answer and his e-mail address is here: found it pretty damn funny to see that the TheUnguidedTV YouTube channel received subscription awards before we even released any videos on it, haha.
(If you can’t watch the movie in your country for any reason, there’s a direct download link here 516mb) I’ll just cut the crap and spare you from any massive wall of texts in this blog entry, and give you the video you all have been waiting for, enjoy!: CONFESSOR A.D.08:04:32 It is the fool who puts faith in false saviors.BUCKETHEAD - Pike 305 - Two Story Hourglass (by siLLy puPPy).Name a great song from an otherwise poor album.7 hours ago More videos New MMA Metal Forum Topics.RED HANDED DENIAL – Empire (Official Music Video) It will probably not appeal to old school fans of the metal of the 1980s and 1990s, but I think that younger people who grew up with the pointless pop of the 2000s may appreciate this song, and whatever heaviness it has may serve to introduce the kids to the world of metal. This track is too polished in production for my tastes, there are some heavy riffs that prevent it from being totally pop. While probably considered a metalcore song, there really aren't any breakdowns to speak of, and the main emphasis is on underlining the verse-chorus-verse-chorus structure through the use of melodic keyboards in addition to the traditional metal instrumentation. While the guitar riff is pretty good, the vocals are your typical run-off the mill screamed-vocals-mixed-with-clean-vocals that characterize modern metal. The verse consists of a quite heavy guitar riff, which is a simpler version of the intro riff.
The opening is a bit industrial-like, with electronic drums and simple and catchy guitar riff, and then the song kicks into a fatter version of the same riff, backed by full metal instrumentation and layers of melancholic Depeche Mode-esque keyboards. This particular one-track single contains one of the better modern pop-metalcore tracks I have heard (some of Sonic Syndicate's other tracks are too poppy, reminding me of Lady Gaga). The worst example of this type of new Swedish pop-metalcore is the atrocious act Dead By April while Sonic Syndicate, I think, are more sucessful at maintaining some of the spirit of metal (on some tracks, at least). But I do think that too much pop sensitivity and too polished a sound takes away some of the energy that otherwise characterizes metal. I don't mind a bit of melody, and melody is also an intrinsic part of modern Swedish metal, it seems. I must admit that I am not a big Sonic Syndicate fan, their melodic brand of so-called metalcore being a tad too polished and poppy for my tastes.
